Mexican manager Jose Luis Sanchez Sola wears the greatest touchline attire ever seen

‘Are you a tracksuit manager or a suit manager?’ is the traditional fashion breakdown of football coaches. Jose Luis Sanchez Sola, boss of Mexican side Correcaminos, simply laughs at that question and replies: “I’m a gold-trimmed, fringed jacket coach.”

The coach, also known by the nickname Chelis, promised his side’s supporters a surprise ahead of a cup final this week. And he duly delivered in the sartorial stakes.

He donned a beautifully detailed black and gold fringed jacket, the traditional attire of the region around Correcaminos. Very snazzy.

Alas, it might be the jacket’s first and last outing as Chelis’ team lost on penalties.

We’d like to think that Big Mick McCarthy has something similar in store for his return to gainful employment.
