Teams, Not Players by Mark Yesilevskiy

Graphic designer Mark Yesilevskiy has got quite a Savile Rogue-ish philosophy to his football artwork.

But whereas we shun crests and slogans in favour a timeless look for our scarves, Mark ditches the heads and bodies of individual players so that the focus of his work is the team.

He reckons the kit being worn by a team at any particular time defines the era in the minds of supporters, not the guns-for-hire who happened to be wearing it at the time.

So, he’s beheaded and disembodied a collection of footballers, leaving just their floating kits.

See more of Mark’s work.
