Manuel Pellegrini opts for a scarf after hoodie backlash

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini smartened up his act for Saturday’s visit to Hull.

The Chilean had been widely criticised for his scruffy appearance for the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Wigan the previous weekend when he wore a hoodie in the dugout.

He opted for a better look at Hull, following in the footsteps of predecessor Roberto Mancini by wearing a scarf.

Unlike Mancini, Pellegrini didn’t opt for City colours with his neckwear… but it was a step in the right direction and there is plenty of time for improvement.

We’d also suggest you opt for cashmere, Manuel. That’ll soon stop any irritation you experienced at the weekend.
