Nasty half-and-half scarves at Manchester United vs Manchester City

We can’t condone the use of half-and-half scarves, but there’s little doubt which half the hapless punters who bought one of these at last night’s Manchester derby would have been giving most prominence to on their way home.

Anyone hedging their bets with their neckwear before kick-off would certainly have been veering towards Manchester City by the time the final whistle blew after their 0-3 win at Old Trafford.

A few of the half-and-half scarves were picked up by TV cameras during the game, which sanitised the derby atmosphere some what (though not quite as much as United’s performance did).

  1. For me this sums up the atmosphere at most premiership matches, english football sold its soul to the highest bidder a long time ago. At least Manchester United and Liverpool still hate each other 🙂
