Roy Hodgson’s first selection mistake: a wet look puffa jacket

England manager Roy Hodgson has demonstrated worryingly poor judgement the day before announcing his World Cup squad.

He has obviously decided that the best way to get the better of Italy at the World Cup is by channeling his inner Cesare Prandelli.

Hodgson opted for a Prandelli-style puffa jacket as he watched Southampton’s game at home to Manchester United yesterday.

Then again, if the usually pragmatic Hodgson is spicing up his outerwear, perhaps we can also expect him to change things up in Brazil.
