Huddersfield Town’s ‘Give Us An H’ matchday programme newspaper

The excellent The 12elfth Man blog draw our attention to Huddersfield Town’s new programme.

With ‘Give Us An H’, the Terriers have moved away from the A5 glossy familiarity of the matchday programme in favour of a paper publication that looks more like a particularly stylish newspaper in appearance.

The overhaul and change of material has allowed Huddersfield to cut the price of the programme. The newspaper-inspired programme is selling for £2, which we understand is the cheapest in the Football League.

Innovative, simple, well-designed, cost-effective for fans – sounds good to us.

  1. I have just purchased my first ” Give Us An H ” Huddersfield Town football programme – or rather newspaper – for the 2014/15 season V Middlesbrough. I have collected programmes for over 50 years but will not be collecting anymore from “The Terriers” until they decease form this nonsense. Some years ago Derby County had the same idea. I still have these ” programmes ” & I detest them. The reason being that they do not keep very well, soon becoming tatty & yellowing plus, because of the size, you have to fold them, which is not desirable. Has a Town fan & serious collector this is an absolute disaster. I would prefer a choice of format. I understand that the newspaper style is cheaper, which is its one good point but personally I would pay extra for the magazine style of previous seasons.
