Football Scarves Typography Art by Chris Moran

We love football scarves. We love football art. So, when the two collide, we usually approve.

That’s definitely the case with this project by Chris Moran, a Manchester-based graphic designer.

He has used typography based on scarves in club colours tied together to spell out appropriate chants, songs or mottos.

He explained: “The lettering is formed from various football club scarves tied together. The football scarf is an essential item for supporters to carry on match days, and are often held aloft when belting out the club anthems from the stands.”

For example, the title of Leeds United anthem Marching On Together is displayed in a range or white, yellow and blue scarves, much like our own Leeds scarves.
