Ryan Giggs’ 1999 FA Cup semi-final celebration by Joe Oliver Design

It has understandably been a week for reminiscing about classic Manchester United versus Arsenal FA Cup clashes given that the two sides met in this season’s sixth-round at Old Trafford last night.

And when you’re thinking about FA Cup encounters between the Red Devils and the Gunners, Ryan Giggs’ stunning winner in the 1999 semi-final immediately comes to mind.

The aftermath of Giggs’ goal – in all its hairy-chested glory – has been captured by Joe Oliver Design in this excellent piece of artwork produced to coincide with last night’s game.

Giggs, now assistant manager to Louis van Gaal, was forced to keep his shirt on after a 1-2 win for Arsenal this time round.
