Nostalgic football scenes by Sid Kirkham

It’s hard not to like Sid Kirkham’s artwork for a number of reasons.

1. It usually features nostalgic football scenes of fans going to or from games.
2. Those fans are usually wearing scarves, which is always a plus.
3. Sid only started painting at the age of 60 when he was made redundant, so there is a nice story of these watercolours being something very positive to come out of that adversity.

Sid’s work features his local team Stoke City more often than any other. Neighbours Port Vale feature fairly prominently, and he has also done pieces based on a host of other clubs.

You can see more work on Sid’s website.
