New FIFA Museum omits references to corruption

After years of corruption amongst FIFA’s top executives, what better time than open a huge, £100 million museum to celebrate football’s governing body? Just opened in Zurich minutes from the hotel Baur au Lac, where seven FIFA officials were arrested in 2015 on charges of extortion, fraud and money laundering. And guess what? There’s no mention of any of their dodgy dealing in this glass and video palace. As if it never happened….

One can only hope that Infantino’s election will herald a new era of honesty and openness and avoid white-washing FIFA’s stained reputation.
