Forward
One of the commonest faults seen in Association Football is that of kicking the ball with the toe of the boot, whereas it should be kicked with the instep. To ensure doing this, when the leg is swung forward the toe should be pointed to the ground and pressed underneath the ball until the latter makes contact with the instep. Only in this way can the flight be properly controlled and full power exerted. This method also helps to keep the ball down, especially if the player has his weight over it at the moment of kicking.
